Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council is becoming known far and wide across Somerset as a Council famed for its incompetence. Led by Dictator Dullard, the council is notorious for its mishaps and blunders.
This week the hot topic of an alleged £33,494 listed as a sum owing to the Council came under the spotlight during the SaDTC Full Council Meeting. The amount was staggering, but none on the council could recall why such a debt existed. Frantic and bewildered, they scoured through old records, only to find a trail of mismanaged finances and overlooked agreements.
After hours of fruitless searching, the Chair of the Finance Committee, Cllr Banish Barracuda, convened an emergency meeting with the Smalltown Administration Guru, Katie Global, and the Smalltown Head of Malfeasance, Sally Crook. With brows furrowed and fingers pointing, they attempted to decipher the tangled mess of paperwork before them. Yet, in their confusion, they only managed to compound the chaos.
Finally, in a moment of desperation, Councillor Barracuda declared, “Errrrm We simply cannot errrrm unravel this errrrenigma! Let us errrrm write off this errrrm debt and eeeerm move forward, for dwelling on the errrrm past will only errrrm hinder our errrrm progress.” His fellow councillors, unable to grasp even the merest comprehension of the problem but relieved to be absolved of responsibility, readily agreed.
And so, without an ounce of understanding or accountability, the council of Smalltown and Dullbridge penned a decree to write off the £33,494 debt, sealing their legacy as a beacon of incompetence for generations to come.
