Residents in Dullbridge are invited to attend a free fun day for families to celebrate Somerset Day on Saturday.
The event will take place at the Porland Community Hub and promises games, music, food and drink.
A spokesperson said “It’s going to be Alfred the Great fun for all the family, as we gather to celebrate all the things that make Somerset great, such as errrm… yes, those things.
We will be playing a few Whirzle records on the stereogram, eating apple pie and drinking cans of White Lightning, so in some ways the sort of thing some residents in Dullbridge do on any normal Saturday.”
The fun starts at 11.00am and will run until stocks of White Lightning run out, so approximately 11.30am.
