With less than 40 days to go before the ‘Welcome to Sadgebore‘ signs are removed from the area, as the doors close for the final time at the Sadgebore District Council offices in Fridgpond, the Chairman of Sadgebore Council, Aaron Bradawl has issued an invitation to a very special Church service.
The ‘Service of Thanksgiving for the Life and Times of Sadgebore District Council’ will be held on Friday at 3.00pm at St Virgin’s Church in Fridgpond.
Cllr Bradawl said “This invitation has been sent to all past and present Sadgebore Councillirs. We will be coming to bury Sadgebore, not to praise it.
Light refreshments will be served after the service and we ask that attendees dress appropriately in sackcloth and ashes. Donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers, with all proceeds going to support the Out-of-Work Sadgebore Councillors Fund.”
Councillor Bradawl has asked for volunteers to say a few words during their service about their memories of Sadgebore. However, he has indicated that very few speakers have come forward.
(Ed – Steve. Can you step into my office please? I firmly believe that you have made up this news story. You know that I don’t condone works of fiction in SomersetClive.)
