With the Coronation of His Majesty the King due to take place next May, Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council is appealing to residents for ideas to help commemorate the occasion.
The Smalltown New Administration Guru (SNAG), Katie Glabal said ” SaD Town Council has asked me to put out a press release asking residents if they have any ideas to help make the day special, as at the moment the only ideas coming out of the Hayloft Road Palace Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party ex-Teachers (and Others) is to hold either a School Cake Sale or a Sports Day.
Town Mayor and Headmistress Kelsey Dullard would particularly like to hear from any residents who may be keen to host an afternoon tea drinking party.“
It is understood that SaDTC are especially keen to hear ideas because, unlike the Jubilee celebrations, this time they have remembered that the event is happening and have put some extra money into the budget to cover any costs.
Katie Global continued “It is really important for residents to contact us with their ideas, because otherwise the Smalltown Shops (SS) group, led by Squire Teflon’s close-friend and employer Mistress Bones, together with Lady Brassy of Easton-under-Water, will be putting in their own bid for the cash and we all know who that benefits.”
A meeting will be held at Hayloft Road Palace on 3rd January to discuss ideas and work on a programme of events.
