If any Smalltown and Dullbridge residents are interested in the goings on at the Hayloft Road Palace Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party ex-Teachers (and Others), home to Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council, SomersetClive suggests they take a look at the agenda for the next SaD TC Full Council meeting, where they will find the full sad and sorry state of things detailed in full.
- Struggling to think of ideas to improve the towns of Smalltown and Dullbridge under the auspices of the Town Unimprovements Committee? Let’s scrap the TUMPS Committee, then we won’t have to bother.
- Concerned by the various budget overspends? Don’t worry – there’s an explanation for each one. Including paying for the training needed for Councillor Jock McCads after he was found guilty of sexually harassing the Smalltown and Dullbridge Smalltown Administration Deputy (SADSAD). Not to mention the payment for a Performing Rights Licence for The White Elephant Enclosure for 2021 – because no one had realised a licence was needed.
- That ‘debt’ of £33,594.94? Well that was because the Smalltown Head of Accounts and Malfeasance (SHAM) (a short-lived promotion for the SADSAD) didn’t really know what she was doing, so that’s going to be written off because that’s the easiest way to deal with it. It’s only numbers after all – just rub them out.
- The ‘Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council Strategic Plan 2023-2027’ SaD Town Councillors vision for the future. SomersetClive suggests SaD Town Council should book the White Elephant Enclosure for the next 365 days and market it as the newest and best comedy in town.
- Finally – SaD Town Council’s response to an official complaint made by a resident concerning funding for the White Elephant Enclosure? Quick – let’s just get a bigger carpet and a larger broom. Once we’ve dealt with that we can carry on as before.
Safe to say the current state of SaD Town Council is dire, with possibly the most useless set of Councillors to ever walk through the doors of Hayloft Road Palace and, when you consider how awful some of the previous Councillors have been, that’s really saying something. Things haven’t got any better since the BeFuddleds took control.
Because as one resident recently commented to Clive “Between the power crazy and the terminally stupid there isn’t much hope.”
