Cllr Fencesitter looks to the future

Former Sadgebore District Councillor Fencesitter has announced his plans for the future, now that Sadgebore District Council will cease to exist from midnight.

Speaking exclusively to SomersetClive Cllr Fencesitter explained “It took me a while to understand what people were saying to me, even though they kept telling me that there is no bus service after 6pm in either Smalltown or Dullbridge, but I have recently discovered that there is no bus service after 6pm in either Smalltown or Dullbridge.

I understand that for some reason this makes it very difficult for residents to attend Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council meetings as apparently my suggestion that people catch a bus is not possible.

Additionally, as everyone knows, people in Dullbridge are very, very, very poor and can’t afford cars, so they have no choice but to walk everywhere, which makes it very difficult for them to get to meetings at the Hayloft Road Palace Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party ex-Teachers (and Others).

So I’ve come up with yet another of my brilliant plans (see ‘The Neighbourhood Flan What I Wrote’ ) From now on I will be offering my services as ‘Fencesitter’s Taxis’. I will be offering a door-to-door service, picking people up from their homes and driving them to Hayloft Road. At the end of the meeting I will shuttle people home again.

This will be a free service and if it proves popular I plan to extend it to anyone who doesn’t have a car but can afford to purchase a ticket for a show at the White Elephant Enclosure. I don’t foresee this as keeping me very busy.

Mrs Fencesitter declared herself delighted with the plan, as she is already fed up with Cllr Fencesitter getting under her feet.
