Missing Person Demoted

It has been confirmed that Smalltown Missing Person Tim Teepee’s last-minute declaration of support for new Prime Minister Sushi Rinak has resulted in Teepee keeping his job.

Teepee was given the position of Minister for the State of Defence (SOD) by Horace Monsoon in 2020 to thank him for his support.

In September 2022 Liz Thrust gave him the additional job of Minister for Infirm Service Ex-personnel (MISE) to thank him for his support.

During his brief sojourn as the Minister for the State of Defence and Minister for Inform Service Ex-personnel (SODAMISE) Teepee ruffled a few feathers when he announced that if Chancellor Jeremy C*nt made cuts to the Defence spending budget he would have no option but to resign.

Chancellor C*nt responded to the threat by saying “I’m in charge of the money. I’ll do what I want. Who is this Tim character anyway? I’ve never heard of him.”

The mild kerfuffle left new Prime Minister Sushi Rinak in a bit of a muddle. On the one hand Teepee had to be rewarded for his support but, on the other hand, idle threats can’t go unpunished. It was therefore decided that Teepee could keep his position as SOD, but his job as MISE would go to Johnny Mercenary.

Speaking after his decision Rinak said “I don’t really know who Tim Teepee is but I don’t believe he has the ability to multi-task and perform two jobs. Therefore I had no option but to demote him and give one of his jobs to someone else to reward them for their support.”

Tim Teepee was last seen digging a trench around the Ministry of Defence building and plans to retreat into it in order to repel any attempts to cut the defence budget.
