SomersetClive is saddened to report that Cllr. Fencesitter lost one of his posts over the weekend. It is understood that it was blown over by the recent high winds caused by Storm Teacup.
Unlike Squire Teflon, who regularly loses his post by placing it in the wrong people’s letterboxes, this is a first for Cllr. Fencesitter.
The Councillor told us “I’m devastated. I’ve had this post for a very long time and now it’s gone. I woke up on Saturday morning and my fence was flapping around like Billy-o. I’ve no idea how I’m going to maintain my position with this post missing, it’s getting increasingly hard to maintain my balance and I could actually fall off and find myself either one side of the fence or the other. I’m not sure that I’m ready for that”
Asked how this tragic event might affect his position on key local issues, Cllr. Fencesitter replied: “I’ve only been a Councillor for 94 years and in that time I’ve steadfastly managed to agree with everyone. Now one of my supports has gone and I’m in a quandary.“
