Cathedral Street in Dullbridge will be closed to traffic for 9.4 days at the end of this month.
Somerset Cuonty Council Department of Road Maintenance and New Things (DORMANT) says it will be resurfacing the road, prior to it being dug up again by a utility company.
A 94 mile diversion will be in place during the work and a spokescone adds: “We will do our utmost to maximise disruption where possible. We are hoping that the motorway will also be shut during this period, because we want to improve our green credentials by making everyone travel by bicycle. It’s all part of our new campaign to make sure residents are completely FUGGED (Forcing You to Go Green)”
