Carnivoo competition

The annual competition to a choose the Smalltown and Dullbridge Carnivoo King/Queen/Prince/Princess/Frog will be held at the Blitz Social Club on Friday.

In line with the new inclusive Carnivoo policy the competition is open to all, although it is expected that the judges will only choose winners who are female and aged between eight and 18.

Entrants will be expected to take part in various rounds of the competition including day wear, evening wear and bikinis. Entry is restricted to local people and gingers have been asked not to waste theirs or the judges time.

A Carnivoo spokesperson said “It’s important that we pay lip service to the idea of being inclusive, but at the end of the day we are only interested in having a Carnivoo Queen and Princesses. And we certainly don’t want a Queen in the drag sense of the word. No one wants to see that, do they?”

The winner of the competion will lead the Carnivoo as it wends its way through Smalltown in November.
