Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Councillors held another of the poorly attended Drop-out sessions last Thursday at Smalltown Library.
Wary that the Drop-out session could see an influx of residents wanting to discuss the latest massive increase in Council Tax, SaDTC took the unusual step of not publicising the Drop-out Session. To further ensure that anyone in gainful employment and working hard to earn enough money to meet the new Council Tax demands, would be unable to share their views, the Drop-out session was held between 11am and midday with an hour break for a cup of tea at 11am.
Dictator Dullard confirmed that the meeting had been a huge success, saying “It was good to see that no residents turned up to give me grief over the budget. This obviously means that everyone in Smalltown and Dullbridge is happy to pay an increase of over £200 on their Council Tax bills. I had a lovely time drinking tea in the library.”
Councillors are expected to agree the 27% increase to the Smalltown and Dullbridge precept tonight, although it is widely believed that Squire Teflon will abstain and instead seize the opportunity to declare that BeFuddleds are useless.
