Excitement is mounting in Smalltown as residents eagerly anticipate the return of the Smalltown Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival on Saturday.
Co-Organiser Margot Farmhouse-Kitchener said “We absolutely totally love bringing our Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival to Smalltown as we know it’s one of the most eagerly anticipated event in the Smalltown social calendar and always attracts the Big Crowd.”
Fellow Co-Organiser Felicity Farmhouse-Kitchener popped up from nowhere to squeak “Yes! Our Smalltown Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival is our favourite of all the Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival we organise because Smalltown is our home town and was where we started our Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival journey.
Who can forgot our humble beginnings as the much smaller Smalltown Small Cheese Festival? Since then we’ve grown both in terms of the produce on offer as well as holding Smalltown Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festivals all over the place.”
Margot Farmhouse-Kitchener grew misty eyed as she recalled the early days “We have found it completely awesome thst wherever we go we have the opportunity to bring local Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider to local people and we will always be indebted to the local people if Smalltown and Dullbridge for their support. We love you all.”
Her voice suddenly full of concern, a slightly subdued Felicity Farmhouse-Kitchener asked “You are still going to publish this press release, aren’t you? Only there’s no puns in it and we know that, as well as the Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider, people like the puns.”
Don’t worry ladies, don’t get your knickers in a pickle. We know SomersetClive readers really Applereciate the puns and there’s still time to Swiss Roll out a few. This is always the Plaice for them and it wouldn’t Brie the same without them.
The Smalltown Cheese, Chutney, Cauliflower, Cake, Cod and Cider Festival takes place from 10.00am until the Fin-ish at 4,00pm. Hopefully the weather will be kind and stallholders won’t need to Battenberg down the hatches.
(Please Mr Clive Saint, Sir, Cod you let Minnow if I Can go home now? I’m feeling Drained and I need to take it Cheesy.
For Cod’s Hake, Steve, don’t be such a Donut. I’m sure there’s a few more you can Lobster in there. Cauli yourself a writer? You can’t Dessert your desk at a time like this.)
