Mayor’s Masquerade Ball confirmed

Masquerade Mask

In his address to residents the Mayor, Mark Facelift, has confirmed that his Christmas Party will still be going ahead as planned, and will take place after the Planning and Scheming Town Council Committee meeting.

Due to current restrictions, the meeting itself will be conducted via the Boom app, in order to conform with ‘Work from Home’ advice. The meeting is expected to last approximately ten minutes as all decisions have been made in advance by Councillor Squire Teflon and Town Clerk Tanya Summer and it doesn’t matter anyway because the Town Council have no influence on planning decisions, which are ultimately decided by Sadgebore District Council.

Councillors and their partners, plus other hangers-on, are then invited to don their masquerade masks and attend the ball at Hayloft Road Palace, where a lavish spread of sausage rolls, cheese and Albanian Whisky will be on offer – all funded by the largesse of Smalltown and Dullbridge residents via their council tax.

When your trusty reporter asked if the invitation to attend extended to SomersetClive the Mayor replied “No“.
