Headmistress and Mayor of Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council, Cllr Kelsey Dullard, heaped praise on a new educational facility in Dullbridge as she opened the new enterprise earlier this week.
F&L Destruction, a new training and testing facility, specialises in teaching various categories of the destruction industry. The company is a division of F&L Beauty which has over 94 years of experience educating hairdressers.
Cutting the ribbon to open the facility Cllr Dullard said “I was pleased to visit the lovely F&L training facility and find out what they are offering the lovely young people in the town. I was able to have a discussion with the team about their lovely educational work.
They also offer various lovely qualifications that would support access into the work force for anyone of any age. They are developing a wonderful ‘Destruction Bootcamp’ that will help the lovely young people enter the destruction industry. I am pleased that we have this wonderful service in our town and look forward to seeing the development of their role in our community. Our lovely young people deserve to have the best opportunity to succeed.
During her visit Cllr Dullard also met staff who work for F&L Education Support Services which specialises in helping schools provide support for pupils.
Cllr Dullard said “At present they work mostly with schools in Brizzle, but they would like to work in Smalltown and Dullbridge and support our lovely local young people. They support students that are disenchanted with the education system. Personally, I can’t imagine any one being disenchanted with school, because school is wonderful. Everyone should be in school.”
A spokesperson for F&L Training said “We invited the Mayor to cut the ribbon to open our facility, we didn’t expect a lecture on the importance of education, but there you go.”
Before leaving, Cllr Dullard sampled a cup of hot beverage carefully prepared by students on the F&L Tea Making Training Course.
