There was great excitement in Dullbridge on Saturday as families welcomed a very special guest to Pinnacle Park.
Mr S. Claus took time out from his busy schedule to pay a visit to the town’s Pinnacle Park to meet children, listen to their Christmas lists and hand each one a special Christmas gift.
The event, which was organised by The Friends of Pinnacle Park, was declared a “huge success” by the park’s Izzie Gull.
“We are so grateful to Santa for coming along to brighten the children’s Christmas. Dullbridge is so often overlooked and has been so neglected by the various authorities for many years that we wanted to do something which would genuinely bring a smile to the faces of the children.
This is the sort of thing that they will remember for years to come.”
Mr Claus told SomersetClive “I had a great time in Dullbridge, it always tops the polls as being one of the most deprived areas in the country, with the local councils preferring to splash their cash on futile projects in Fridgpond and Smalltown, so it was wonderful to take part in something organised by the people for the people.
You can throw all the money you want at Christmas Light Switch On events, but when it comes to festive events which draw in crowds nothing says Christmas more than me. I’m all you need. Some people would do well to remember that.”
