SaDTC to hold Open Pride meeting

Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council has confirmed their intention to hold a meeting tomorrow night at the White Elephant Enclosure to discuss plans to hold a Pride event in 2023.

“We know that there was an awful lot of disappointment in Smalltown and Dullbridge when we refused a grant to CEO, Founder and Legend in his own Bedroom, Levi Smeller, to hold his Smalltown Pride – a Unique New Concept (SPUNC) in the town. Unfortunately when we looked into his plans it quickly became apparent that he lacked the necessary skills to pull it off on his own.”

Councillors have formed a working group, consisting of Cllrs. Eugenie Sherry, Rob Apprentice-Candlestickmaker and Squire Teflon’s alterego Myred N Revlon, with a view to forming a committee to help Mr Smeller.

Meanwhile, an alternative group has come forward to host the event and has already been awarded a £2K grant by the Finance and Misappropriation Committee. The group, Pride – a Really Unique Diversity Event (PRUDE), already has a fully formed Committee and there may not be room to include anyone else.

Speculation is rife that Mr Smeller may not attend the meeting as, despite claiming previously that he would be hosting it and for people to keep an eye on his social media for further updates, he has been too busy decorating the office to mention it again.
