FOGWARNINGS return

The annual Festival Of Graffiti Wall Art and Rap Noise Interwoven with Noisy Groups in Smalltown (FOGWARNINGS) is set to return as a three day event from tomorrow.

Run as a much smaller event for the last two years due to the Corvid pandemic, FOGWARNINGS will see a score of venues hosting musical events and dance troupes as well as colourful artwork appearing on walls throughout the town.

The full programme of entertainment kicks off on Friday evening at the Blitz Social Club. Saturday will see musicians, entertainers and artists popping up all over the place*, with the action centred around the Blitz Social Club, The George Hotel and St Genesius Church Hall. This year a selection of street artists, together with musicians, will take over Smalltown’s Estuary Cove for the first time, where a day of madness and mayhem is promised.

Estuary Cove will also be the venue for the launch of Smalltown’s Shaun Ryder Partin’s album. Partin recently signed a recording contract with his own record label and will be playing his first release ‘Flying by my Pants’ in full on the day.

Sunday will see the fun move to Chateau Park Gardens, where musical acts will entertain the masses. Attendees will need to bring their own chairs.

FOGWARNINGS is one of the most popular events in the Smalltown social calendar, run by volunteers and reliant on donations in order to operate on a no-admission fee basis.

(Various venues across Smalltown except the White Elephant Enclosure, because the hire charges there are exorbitant and charging less would be taking the WEE’s remit of ‘Community Use’ too far )
