Smalltown Council’s hamfisted attitude in 2020 to the George Inn has come back to haunt it.
After deciding the long standing Christmas Tree would be re-sited to the White Elephant Enclosure sans skating rink, tensions have risen in recent days.
When approached by SomersetClive as to why the Smalltown Council’s across street rope lights are not attached to the George this year, the Smalltown Media & Uproar Genius (SMUG) declined to comment.
A local resident quipped: “Smalltown Council usually has an excess of rope from which to hang itself.”
