Tonight’s Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council Town Unimprovements Committee meeting, due to be held at the Hayloft Road Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party Ex-Teachers (and Others) which had previously been cancelled is now back on again, the Smalltown Temporary Executive Administration Manager (STEAM) has confirmed.
In a statement STEAM Con Slurs said “It had become apparent that there was far too much work involved in trying to improve Smalltown and Dullbridge and therefore the councillors of SaDTC decided not to bother, so the meeting was cancelled.
However, it recently emerged that there are several burning questions which require answers – for example, has the Town Council actually booked the fireworks for the Smalltown Money Up in Flames Festival (MUFF) in November? And exactly how many Christmas Trees should SaDTC purchase and do they celebrate Christmas in Dullbridge?
Councillors felt that the answers to these questions are important enough to warrant a meeting because, if nothing else, it will make them look as if they know what they are doing.”
