Sadgebore District Council has revealed that their Clearance Sale has begun, as they prepare to merge with the All-New-Yet-Unimproved Somerset Cuonty Council.
Spokesperson Blair Stagg said “Sadgebore will be either giving away or selling off their assets to the highest bidder. If you’ve ever wanted a ‘Welcome to Sadgebore’ sign, for your garden then we are open to offers. The signs, which feature our logo introduced following a very expensive rebrand only three years ago are in ‘as new condition’ and would make a lovely addition to a flowerbed.
We are open to offers on absolutely everything – from reams and reams of headed paper right up to Council leader David McGoat, who desperately needs rehoming.
As part of the Sadgebore Clearance Sale and Giveaway it was recently announced that the old tennis courts at Circles Pencil has been handed over on a 25 year lease to Jock McCads’ Recreation in Circles Pencil’ (ReCiPe) group for use as the Smalltown Area Games and Gaiety Yard (SAGGY) ReCiPe plans to transform the land into the SAGGY with improved facilities including tennis courts.
Blair continued “The current tennis courts are in a state of disrepair, because we haven’t bothered to maintain them over the years, so we are delighted to be able to hand over the responsibility for their upkeep to someone else.”
