Smalltown Chamber of Trade have organised a ‘Jubilee Shopping Trail’, which is basically the usual annual ‘Shopping Trail’ but with the word ‘Jubilee’ added to make it sound more exciting.
Residents aand visitors will be encouraged to traipse around the shops peering into the windows searching for the answers to questions such as ‘How many cafes are there in Smalltown?’, ‘Which Smalltown premises isn’t a charity shop or hairdressers?’, ‘What percentage of shops sell the thing you actually came into Smalltown to buy?’ and ‘Can you get it cheaper on Amazing?’.
Errm. That’s about it for Friday.
Probably just as well, because residents will need a day off to recover from Thursday’s exciting events and will struggle to negotiate their way around the surfeit of FREE cake and paper plates still littering Main Street.
