A section of Main Street in Smalltown will be closed to traffic for 9.4 days later this month.
Sussex Water says it will be carrying out works to upgrade the sewer systems which curently carries effluence from the town centre to Smalltown seafront.
A spokesperson said “We apologise if this poses any inconvenience to those wishing to use their conveniences, but we need to enlarge the size of the pipes, which carry the waste from domestic and commercial properties out to sea in Smalltown, to prevent blockages and ensure they deliver the load more efficiently.“
A 94 mile diversion will be in place during the work.
