SCOT gears up for popular show

Some of the Vintage and Veterans expected at this year’s show.

It will be all go in Smalltown Town centre on Saturday, as the Smalltown Chamber of Trade (SCOT) close off Main Street and all the surrounding streets for the return of the Vintage and Veteran show.

Scores of Vintage Veterans will be on display at the free event, which will run from 09.40am until bedtime. Several local Nursing and Care Homes will be bringing their residents along for display, with a parade involving mobility scooters and zimmer frames due to take place mid-afternoon.

Assuming that she isn’t mistaken for an entrant, Dictator Dullard will open the event and will also award prizes for ‘Oldest Resident in Captivity’, ‘Knobbliest Knees’ and ‘Old Person the Judge would like to become a BeFuddled Town Councillor’.

A spokesperson for SCOT said “We have closed Smalltown Town centre for the sat and look forward to welcoming residents and visitors for this unique event. Please do support our wonderful pizza shops, estate agents and hairdressers during your visit. If you can get to them.”
