What was and is on

At the White Elephant Enclosure last week, the latest Comedy Club offering sold under half of the available 80 tickets. Proving that the joke is wearing very thin.

On Saturday night, the tribute to American Rock, saw half the seats empty, despite the band having taken the unusual step of trying to promote the event themselves. It’s no wonder really, with tickets priced at £23.94 each.

Why would anyone pay £23.94 to see a tribute band when, at the South West’s Premier Music Venue, The Old Jetty Inn, tribute band Tiger Feet appeared for free on Friday night?

Singing Landlord Tom Portman has emerged unscathed from his recent wobble, when he declared he was closing the venue for good, and is already working hard to line up events for the rest of this year and into the next, proving that he is far more proactive than both the Smalltown Culture and Arts Manager (SCAM) and the Smalltown Culture and Arts Media Promotions Individual (SCAMPI).

Those that prefer culture to music are advised to get themselves along to the Blitz Cinema on TONIGHT when a live screening from the House of Opera of a Ballet Royal performance will be showing.
That’s in addition to all the latest blockbuster films, with all tickets only £4 as once again Blitz owner Padraig Irishh proves he has what it takes to run a successful entertainment venue.
