Pizza wins prize

A pizza outlet in Smalltown is celebrating winning an award for their pizza.

Sliceapizza has been named ‘Best Pizza in Somerset’ by a panel of judges from the European Pizza Association, who have spent the last eight months eating nothing but pizza.

Sliceapizza owner Gerald Slicer said “We are over the moon to receive this award, as it means we sell the best pizza in not just Smalltown but the whole of Somerset. All the other Pizza shops in Smalltown may as well close now, because we sell the best pizza.”

The European Pizza Association was established in 94AD when the Roman Emperor Pizzarius began his quest to find a really good pizza takeaway which would deliver pizza 24/7. Britain was included in the awards from 194AD, when the Emperor Hadrian declared that Haggis was not a suitable pizza topping and built a wall to prevent Haggis crossing the border from Scottishland.
