Popular Event Returns

Previous Rave in the Nave

His Right Reverendness, Stuart Little, the Singing Vicar of St. Lennon’s Church in Dullbridge has confirmed that the popular ‘Rave in the Nave’ event will be returning to Dullbridge this weekend.

HRR Little said “I have returned from my two month sabbatical, which I spent with the Brotherhood of Man in the Church of the Poison Mind on the Mull of Kintyre and I’ve come back fully refreshed and ready to spread the word of His Godliness via the powerful medium of song.

I’m inviting everyone to come along, cracl open those glosticks, wear your shortest shorts, brightest legwarmers and raise your jazz hands to the skies as we Rave in the Nave!

On a more serious note, last year we did have a few small problems with a small number of ravers who overdid it with the red wine and crackers supplied as a buffet, which unfortunately led to a number of dancers becoming disorientated and dancing in the streets.

Several of them also misheard the word ‘Nave’ and there was a fair bit of partying in areas where people really shouldn’t dance. As a consequence of that this year we have roped off the graveyard to prevent any repeat of this behaviour.

Apart from that I’m really looking forward to people joining me in the pulpit at St. Lennon’s and blasting out a few tunes, because it’s important to remember that God gave rock and roll to you.”

Tickets for the Rave are available for £5 and full details are only available to ticket holders who call the secret phone number on the reverse of the ticket 94 minutes before the start time.
