Despite the agenda for the Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council Full Council meeting being published on the website early for once, Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council has confirmed that there will be no Drop-out Meeting this month.
The Drop-out meetings offered residents of Smalltown and Dullbridge the opportunity to meet Dictator Dullard and Deputy Dictator Sherry, ask questions and enjoy a lovely cup of tea.
Meetings have previously been held at Smalltown Library and the Porland Community Hall in Dullbridge but, despite being places where residents normally congregate, no one really wanted to engage with the Dictator and her Deputy in case they found themselves caught up in a photo opportunity.
SomersetClive contacted the Smalltown Administration Guru, Katie Global, at the Hayloft Road Palace Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party ex-Teachers (and Others) to ask if the lack of a Drop-out session this month was due to a lack of interest from residents and she told us “Don’t be silly. It’s August. The schools have broken up. As former teacherscDictator Dullard and Deputy Dictator Sherry have never worked during the month of August and they’re certainly not going to start now.”
Residents will be delighted to learn that both Smalltown Library and the Porland Community Hub will be Dictator-free this week and they can go about their business in peace.
