Boundary change confirmed

The Boundary Commission has confirmed that it has officially sent its recommendations for boundary changes in the Somerset region to Parliament and will now wait for approval.

The changes will see Smalltown and Dullbridge leave the current Smells Constituency and comhine with Fridgpond to become Smalltown and Dullbridge, Fridgpond Unitary Constituency (SaDFUC).

Smells current Missing Person, Tim Teepee, will stay with his current constituency and Fridgpond and Western Somerset Missing Person, Illiberal Ian Lonely-Ranger believes he will have a better chance of keeping his seat if he dumps Fridgpond and keeps the Western Somerset part of his constituency.

If approved by Parliament Smalltown and Dullbridge will see a new Missing Person after the next General Election. Fridgpond is a firm Working Man’s Party stronghold, whilst Smalltown and Dullbridge have consistently preferred an Illiberal candidate, apart from the blip in 2010 caused by a protest vote against David Duckhouse-Emery, which saw the BeFuddled Party’s Teresa Stunt sweep to victory.

Having taken Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council away from the 94 years of Illiberal Party Control, BeFuddled Party members will no doubt be thinking that they stand a chance of taking the new seat, but that is to be expected as they will also be claiming that they will be winning enough seats in the next general election to form the new Government.

Instead it is expected that the race to win SaDFUC will be a straight fight between the Working Man’s Party and the Illiberal Party, with the BeFuddleds trailing limply along behind the Raving Lunatic Party, Reformation Party, Peace and Love Party, and that Bloke Who Mouths Off In The Pub.
