The first Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council Full Council meeting, held at the beginning of May, saw Councillors assigned to the various committees for the forthcoming year, with all but three Councillors being assigned committees to serve on.
Headmistress, Mayor and Dictator Cllr Dullard will not be serving on any naned committees, but in her role Mayor will continue to Chair Full Council Meetings.
Illiberal Party member Prue Hairdresser missed out on being appointed to any committees, with Squire Teflon refusing to put her name forward as punishment for once voting with the BeFuddled Party members, rather than do as he wanted.
Meanwhile Cllr Jock McCads, a previous Town Mayor and Town Councillor with over 10 years experience, as well as a All-New-Yet-Unimproved Somerset Cuonty Councillor, who last year served as chair of the Town Unimprovements Committee and also sat on the Finance and Misappropriation, White Elephant Enclosure, and Human Resources Top Secret Committees, has not been allocated any committees.
Although the sanctions imposed by the All-New-Yet-Unimproved Somerset Cuonty Council Standards Board banned Cllr McCads from attending the Hayloft Road Palace Retirement Home for Bemused and Bewildered BeFuddled Party ex-Teachers (and Others) the ban didn’t actually include meetings. However the SaD TC BeFuddled Party made it clear to Cllr McCads that they do not want him to attend any meetings until they have decided what punishment they will be meting out.
By not allocating him a seat on any committee they have effectively sidelined him from involvement in SaDTC business, rendering him impotent. Whether this is a precursor to the BeFuddleds removing him from the party remains to be seen as the Smalltown and Dullbridge BeFuddled Party has still not yet convened a meeting to decide his fate.
