Local community group Our Dullbridge has announced a joint initiative with the Wildlife Trust of Somerset to promote and develop riverside walks in Dullbridge.
Our Dullbridge member, Rach Cool said “We have teamed up to deliver something new for Dullbridge. The Purple-Orange Path Project (POPP) aims to introduce people to a network of pathways which take in the last remaining green areas of Dullbridge, which run alongside the River Brewer.
In time we hope to be able to link Dullbridge to Dalstonbury and will be working to increase use of these footpaths to bring more people into the town centre.
We have put a lot of work into forging partnerships with other groups and organisations in Somerset to bring good things to Dullbridge, as in our experience Dullbridge is constantly overlooked by Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council, so as a group we find it easier just to get on with things.“
Our Dullbridge will be hiding a free launch event on Saturday at the Porland Community Hub, where residents can find out more about the plans and how to become a part of it.
