Carnivoo embraces diversity

Following their attendance at an Equality and Diversity Training Course and with the appointment of a new Chairperson, Smalltown and Dullbridge Carnivoo Committee has announced that this year the Annual Carnivoo Queen will be replaced by a Carnivoo King/Queen/Prince/Princess/Frog.

Miss Floraltree Old, who replaced her dad, noted homophobe Bill Old as Chairperson following the fallout from banning an entry from an LGBTQWERTY group in last year’s Carnivoo Parade said “We are delighted to announce that this year’s Carnivoo Queen competition is open to everyone!

Yes. That’s right. EVERYONE. We are aware that we have lost support from residents and cash from sponsors who objected to our stance on excluding members of the LGBTQWERTY community so we are trying to get them back on side.”

Application forms are now available and judging will take place at the White Elephant Enclosure on May, when entrants will be expected to take part in various rounds of the competition including day wear, evening wear and bikinis.

Miss Old added “This competition is only open to those in the local area. We want a local person to represent our local Carnivoo. Oh. And no gingers.”
