Sharing an incredibly short speech, which said nothing of importance, from BeFuddled Party Leader, Fred Wavey, Councillor Fencesitter declared it to be “The best speech I’ve ever heard from Fred” which, given that most people wouldn’t recognise Mr Wavey if he poked them in the eye with a sharp stick and even fewer have heard him speak, is hardly surprising.
What is surprising is that Councillor Fencesitter agreed with Mr Wavey that the three main cornerstones of BeFuddledism are ‘Compassion. Community. Fairness.’ as very little of each has been shown by local Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council BeFuddled Party Members.
Where was the ‘Compassion‘ for those struggling to pay their Council Tax bills, when SaDTC saw fit to raise their share of the precept by seven percent, despite the current cost of living crisis?
Where is the ‘Community‘ when the Mayor and Deputy Mayor make decisions off their own bat, without inviting the community to have a say?
And where’s the ‘Fairness‘ when residents throughout Smalltown and Dullbridge are expected to see £1 in every £5 raised from SaDTC Council Tax spent on the White Elephant Enclosure – a facility very few can afford to attend?
