Smalltown and Barrow Medical Centre has announced that it will be opening its doors to residents who may have struggled and failed to get into the building previously.
A spokesneedle for the Medical Centre said “If you’ve ever wondered what your local GP surgery looks like on the inside then now is your chance to find out.
We will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 25th February, between 05.30am and 06.30am to allow patients a rare chance to get into the building to see what goes on inside.”
Smalltown and Barrow Medical Centre is about to formalise an agreement with Philharmonic Health Services to take over the running of the practice which came very close to closure last year after being rated ‘Woefully Inadequate’ following an inspection by health authorities.
The spokesneedle added “Please note that, as per normal, there will be no doctors or nurses available on the day , so if you feel unwell please hang up and dial 999.”
