Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council is urging residents to forget the Cost of Living Crisis and concentrate on the Cost of Dying instead.

The announcement takes place ahead of a meeting of the Dead and Buried meeting tonight, where Councillors, lead by chairperson and Professional Fun Sponge, Cllr Patsy Knickers, will be looking to set their budget for 2023/24.

Speaking to SomersetClive yesterday Cllr Knickers said “Residents may be concerned about the Cost of Living, but wait until they see how much it costs to die. I’d strongly advise all residents in Smalltown and Dullbridge to reconsider their plans to die, because my Committee are going to charge you extra for the privilege.

Anyone who thinks that dying would be a great way to avoid the current rises in food and energy costs is advised to think again, we are going to make sure that dying is anything but fun.

Smalltown resident Mr Hieronymus d’Eath expressed his dismay at the plans telling SomersetClive that anything which could result in less deaths could be disasterous for his own business interests in the towns.
