SomersetClive offers its congratulations to leading Dullbridge Councillor and Somerset-soon-to-be abolished-Cuonty Council briefcase holder for Roads and Transport (RAT), John Woodenman, on his recent marriage.
After several weeks trapped in his George Street residence by the incompetence of Cymru & East Services & Supplies (CESS) and the installation of new pipework (Clive, 7th February), Woodenman escaped to Bream for a glittering ceremony attended by the great and the good of Smalltown & Dullbridge.
In the presence only of witnesses, Woodenman sealed his betrothal to Smalltown crafting supremo, Dame Deirdre Crook. It is understood from a now deleted post on social media whirlpool AceCrook, that the relationship began during last winter’s omegavirus pandemic lockdown.
In his official nomination for next month’s new-and-unimproved Somerset Council elections that Woodenman and Dame Deirdre have agreed to change their names by deed poll to incorporate both surnames.
Taking the traditional form of the man’s surname last, SomersetClive sends its best wishes to Cllr John Crook-Woodenman.
