Smalltown Library will be closed for six months whilst decarbonisation work takes place to improve the environment for all.
During this time library facilities will be available via a mobile facility which will park up in the library parking area. In order to keep staff and residents warm during this time the engine will be left running and fumes will belch out into the atmosphere.
A spokesISSN said “We’ve been given government funding for this work and contractors will be busy taking the lead out of all the pencils in the library during the period of closure.”
On hearing this news Squire Teflon said “We won’t be applying for this funding for the council premises in Hayloft Road. No one is going to be taking the lead out of MY pencil.”
