Sources have revealed to SomersetClive that Smalltown will be playing host to not one, but TWO Father Christmases on Saturday.
We contacted both organisations hosting the two totally separate yet combined events for comments.
Smalltown Chamber of Trade told us “Ours is definitely the real Santa. He’s been coming to help us switch on the lights in Smalltown for over 25 years, he really enjoys coming here and treats it as a break by the seaside before his busy period starts.”
A spokesperson for Smalltown Shops said “No comment.”
Your intrepid reporter didn’t leave it there and made further enquiries to check the veracity of these claims with SID (Santa Imposter Detection).
SID confirmed that the SCOT Santa is indeed the real one, whilst the SS have employed the child-catcher from ‘Chitty, Chitty. Bang, Bang’ to play the part.
