The landlord of Smalltown’s George Inn has become involved in the latest round of festive fury, by issuing a statement reminding residents of the part the George Inn are playing in the Christmas Light Switch On.
Brian Andrex said “Don’t forget The George Inn have a big tree again this year. Paid for by the George, Smalltown Area Ship and Hovercraft (SMASH) and the Smalltown Chamber of Trade. We’ve had to buy our own, because Smalltown council are not prepared to continue the centuries-long tradition of paying for the tree outside the George and have instead opted to site their tree in the car park. Join us on the day as we will be switching our lights on too!”
