Deputy Dictator Cruella Sherry’s attempt to keep Smalltown and Dullbridge Town Council business ‘Dishonest, Closed and Opaque’ continue, with the revelation that, not content with holding Top Secret Human Resources Committee meetings and employing Top Secret Consultants, she has now turned her attention to White Elephant Enclosure Mismanagement Committee meetings.
The last WEE meeting was held on 19th November, the day after a Town Unimprovements (TUMPS) meeting and a full week before a Finance and Misappropriation (F&R) meeting.
Whilst the draft minutes for the TUMPS and F&R meetings have been made available on the TC website (or at least they were, before someone pulled the plug on the entire site) minutes for the WEE meeting are yet to put in an appearance.
This could be because Deputy Dictator Sherry doesn’t want residents to find out how the Council Tax Payer-funded Councillor School trips to visit other similar venues to the WEE in a bid to seek ideas have been going, nor to learn that Councillors have agreed to treat the Friends of the WEE to an end-of-term party, with £150 taken from the WEE budget to fund it.
In light of the news that the All-New-Yet-Unimproved Somerset Cuonty Council is facing financial ruin and will want SaDTC to take on further responsibilities, funding the WEE is now of even greater concern to residents of Smalltown and Dullbridge and the news that they are funding yet another jolly good knees up is likely to go down like a lead balloon.
Dictator Dullard and Deputy Dictator Sherry are well known locally for their love of parties, with Town Council money used to cover the cost of The Dictator’s Annual Charity Ball, a party to celebrate the Boredom Project, the Civic Community Champion Celebration, the King Henry IX Coronation Cream Tea Party, the Celebration of Youth Awards Party, and the Climate Rescue Action Plan Festival after-party, as well as Any Other Excuse for a Party parry
Life is just one big Council Tax Funded party for SaDTC.
