Staff at Smalltown Shaking Office have confirmed that its Customer Facing Shaking Desk could soon close under plans introduced by Head Office.
A spokesbox said “Currently residents of Smalltown, Dullbridge and the surrounding villages are able to bring their parcels into our office where we can give them a good shake to try and work out what is inside them.
Under the new plan, which will see us having to reorganise our desk layout, there will be no room for a Customer Facing Shaking Desk and residents will have no option but to shake their own parcels.”
Head Office confirmed that whilst there are plans to reorganise the desks at the Shaking Office, and redistribute staplers amongst staff, no final decision has yet been made on a possible new office layout.
The Shaking Office is currently open to the public between 12 and 1pm Monday to Friday but closes for lunch between 12 and 1pm.
