Smalltown Retail Expert and Carnivoo Authority Dani Norris has recently added a new string to her bow and is now a leading expert in all matters meteorological.
Miss Morris has issued a stark warning to anyone considering attending Carnivoo on Monday, saying “I wouldn’t bother going to Carnivoo if I were you . It’s going to rain and you will get very wet.”
However, the organiser of Smalltown Carnivoo, Bill Old, has hit back saying “As a former over-zealous Carnivoo Marshall, Miss Morris should know that the first rule of Carnivoo is that we don’t mention the weather and the possibility that it may rain on our parade. Even if her weather predictions are accurate we don’t really want anyone to put a dampener on the event.”
Undaunted, Miss Morris continued with her unsolicited advice “I am NOT WRONG. I am NEVER wrong. Not even when I AM wrong. It is going to rain on the night of Smalltown Carnivoo and everyone attending will get wet. Go and ask other meteorologists if you don’t believe me. But I’m telling you I’m RIGHT.”
Several residents have taken the advice to heart and declared that they will stay indoors and miss the Carnivoo, preferring to stay dry instead.
SomersetClive asked Smalltown’s esteemed foreseer Mystic Mick for his opinion and he told us “If you subscribe to my new online service ‘Mystic Mick’s Meteorological Musings’ you will see that I have predicted that there’s a 10% chance of rain from 7.00pm on Monday night. This doesn’t necessarily mean that it will rain. It might, it might not. The chance of rain will rise to 20% at 9.00pm, but again this doesn’t mean for certain that it will rain. My advice would be to take a chance on the weather and grab an umbrella as you go out through the front door. Just in case it does rain. Which it might not. It’s the British weather. It’s pretty much unpredictable.“
