Smalltown and Dullbridge (SaD) Town Council has confirmed that tonight’s scheduled Finance and Misappropriation Committee meeting has been cancelled.
A SaDTC spokesperson confirmed the news saying “Because we gave all the money away at the last Finance and Misappropriation meeting only a couple of weeks ago we’ve decided not to bother with this one.”
This brings the total number of meetings cancelled by the controlling BeFuddled Party since they took power in May to eight.
Matters relating to the Dead and Buried Committee Meeting cancelled in June, were due to be added to the last Finance and Misappropriation Committee meeting in September, but as the agenda was full with grant applications, there was no room for the dead.
The next Dead and Buried meeting will now be held almost a full year since the last one. It is to be hoped that there are no occupants of Smalltown and Dullbridge’s cemeteries who will be upset at the lack of care and attention shown to them by SaD Town Council.
