Today marked the 94th year of ‘World Book Day’ with children in the Smalltown and Dullbridge area forgoing their school uniforms and dressing up as a character from their favourite books.
Squire Teflon entered into the spirit of the day by dressing as ‘Nasty Nobby the Newspaper Boy’ from the End Brighton series of books which tell the tale of a delivery boy who constantly delivers papers to the wrong addresses by mistake. When homeowners complain Nobby bullies them into submission.
When SomersetClive complimented him on his costume, which included Nobby’s trademark shirt, tie and shorts, Squire Teflon replied “What? No. Actually I always dress like this when I’m delivering papers for my close-friend Mistress Bones.”
